This area is still pretty unknown to tourists, but beloved by locals, probably due to its sense of peacefulness. The lake is located at 1547 m. at the end of the Sarentina Valley in a magical surrounding and it’s just an easy walk from start to arrival (about 1,30 h).
Once you’ve walked around the lake, you may not want to miss the picturesque church of St. Nicholas in the small village of Valdurna. The church was built in the 13th century and its vaults are entirely covered in frescos: a small jewel in an idyllic location.
